Jewish Wedding

The Ancient Jewish Wedding and the Return of our Bridegroom King!

Ancient Jewish wedding it is a custom that every believer should study and understand. Why? Because Yeshua/Jesus himself followed the steps of a Jewish bridegroom when taking his own bride, ch there are many truths and treasures that may have been hidden and long forgotten simply because believers do not see Yeshua/Jesus and His original Jewish Customs, and context. We truly believe God calling the Bride of Christ back to the Jewish roots of Christianity. Read Proverbs 25:2

Step One Selection of the birde

Part 1

John 15:16, You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. In ancient Israel brides were usually chosen by the father of the bridegroom. He would send His most trusted servant ( Holy Spirit ) to search for a bride for His son ( you and me).

We have not seen (Yeshua Jesus )but God’s servant the Holy Spirit, has revealed Him to us. As we can see we need the Holy Spirit to reveal Yeshua to us then we can reveal Yeshua to others. 1 Peter 1: 8,9 You have not seen Christ, but still you love him. You cannot see him now, but you believe in him. So you are filled with a joy that cannot be explained, a joy full of glory. 9 And you are receiving the goal of your faith—the salvation of your souls. ( sidenote Your soul and other too.)

Price of the Bride
Part 2

August 5 2015 something I’ve been searching and studying. Let’s talk about how a bride was bought and paid for the Old Testament and sometimes marriages were arranged even before they met, let’s take a look at Mary and Joseph’s I’m not too sure and that marriage is prearrange or not but I believe Mary and Joseph’s was arranged by God before they were married guys my thought on.. A bride in the Bible times were precious. The price was paid to the father of the bride, both tocompensate him for the loss of a worker and to show how much the bridegroom loved and valued the bride. We, as the bride of the Messiah, have also been purchased with a price. A very high- the blight of Yeshua His very own blood shed upon a cross on Calvary’s hill was the price He paid for His bride.

1 Peter 1:18,19 18 You know that in the past you were living in a worthless way, a way passed down from the people who lived before you. But you were saved from that useless life. You were bought, not with something that ruins like gold or silver, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, who was like a pure and perfect lamb Ephesians 1:13,14 13 In [q]Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also[r]believed, you were sealed in [s]Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is [t]given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to there of God’s own possession,to the praise of His glory.

1 Corinthians 7:22,24 22 For a slave who has been called by the Lord is the Lord’s free person; in the same way a free person who has been called by Christ is his slave. 23 God bought you for a price; so do not become slaves of people. 24 My friends, each of you should remain in fellowship with God in the same condition that you were when you. We can never forget the price that was paid when Yeshua blood that was shed on the cross for our sins. On the third day He rose again. As we can see we belong to Christ. He is our bridegroom. We are his bride. We are in this world but we are not of this world. So just remember this is a pit stop own kingdom is not in this world. 1 Corinthians 6:18,20 18 Stay away from sexual sins. Other sins that people commit don’t affect their bodies the same way sexual sins do. People who sin sexually sin against their own bodies. 19 Don’t you know that your body is a temple that belongs to the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit, whom you received from God, lives in you. You don’t belong to yourselves. 20 You were bought for a price. So bring glory to God in the way you use your body.

It’s coming from my heart it’s amazing amazing amazing how precious our bodies are when the Holy Spirit resides in us we can do amazing things so let us never forget as believers in Yeshua we should do our best to keep our temples clean, but if we do slip don’t hesitate to ask for forgiveness. Rev. James Portal of heaven ministries, there is one part of the website if you need prayer go to part of it in right out your quests and I will pray. Say a short prayer now heavenly father I come to you in the name of Yeshua to help us and guide us in our lives. It is a few other parts of this teaching our bring forward the not too distant future. One more time for now God’s blessing on everybody reading this in Jesus name I pray and goodbye for now.

Step: Three : Betrothal/Ketubah

The ancient Jewish marriage ceremony consisted of two main part, beginning with the betrothal or engagement.

The betrothal is much like our engagement today, but with a greater sense of commitment. During the betrothal the couple is actually entering into a covenant. Covetrant Bible times was serious, final, sealed in blood and legally binding. Once a couple entered into the covenant of betrothal, they were legally married in all aspect except for the physical, consummation of the marriage. At the betrothal ceremony, a marriage contract or Ketubah, was presented to the father of the bride. The Ketubad, consists for all the bridegroom’s promises to His bride. The bride. The bride cherishes her Ketubah.

We too have a Ketubah form our Bridegroom. Our marriage contract is God’s word! our Ketubah (God’s word,) show are for us. As the Bride of Yeshua, we are entitled to them-the are part of our Ketubuh.

Jeremiah 31New American Standard Bible (NASB)

30 But everyone will die for his own iniquity; each man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth will be [o]set on edge.

31 “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 32 not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares theLord. 33 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; andI will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 They willnot teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares theLord, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

Hebrews 8 Names of God Bible (NOG)

6 Yeshua has been given a priestly work that is superior to the Levitical priests’ work. He also brings a better promise[a]from God that is based on better guarantees. 7 If nothing had been wrong with the first promise, no one would look for another one. 8 But God found something wrong with his people and said to them,
“The days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new promise to Israel and Judah. 9 It will not be like the promise that I made to their ancestors when I took them by the hand and brought them out of Egypt. They rejected that promise, so I ignored them, says the Lord. 10 But this is the promise that I will make to Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my teachings inside them, and I will write those teachings on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 11 No longer will each person teach his neighbors or his relatives by saying, ‘Know the Lord.’ All of them from the least important to the most important will all know me 12 because I will forgive their wickedness and I will no longer hold their sins against them.”

Rev. James speaking out

As we can see something that everybody really see a realize as we go back all the way back to Abraham before Abraham was Abram and and gave Him dreams and visions and those dreams and visions tactilely word twofold one was speaking about His, let’s talk about the first dream and vision that God gave to( Abram ) a new name and that new name is Abraham a course that means the father to all the nations Jew and Gentile, but first let’s focus on Israel and the Jewish people that was specially chosen, to bring the Word of God to the Gentiles but a course we know few history and to the Bible that all Jews did do their job by spreading the good news about father God. Then he missed the call and of course not be made have slipped up by the have not missed a calling. Then that Gentiles were drafted in as you read in Scripture but that did not give the Gentiles special privileges because some of the Jewish leadership in not accept Yeshua does not mean that the Jewish were totally rejected because all kinds in the same root Jew or Gentile, but you Gentiles were drafted in to the tree of Israel. I believe with all my heart that when we see a house eyes being open in the same way one Paul, Saul was bucked off his horse and the blinders was removed from his eyes and you recognize Yeshua but it took another Jewish man praying with him and his scales are removed. Heavenly father I pray in the name of Yeshua open the eyes of both Jew and Gentile remove the scales that binding us from going forward.

Step Four: The Bride’s Consent

Although a Bride was selected for the ( Bridegroom,) she still had a consent, or she still had choice. Genesis 24: 56,60

56 But [the servant] said to them, Do not hinder and delay me, seeing that the Lord has caused me to go prosperously on my way. Send me away, that I may go to my master.

57 And they said, We will call the girl and ask her [what is] her desire.

58 So they called Rebekah and said to her, Will you go with this man? And she said, I will go.

59 So they sent away Rebekah their sister and her nurse [Deborah] and Abraham’s servant and his men.

60 And they blessed Rebekah and said to her, You are our sister; may you become the mother of thousands of ten thousands, and let your posterity possess the gate of their enemies.
Brothers and sisters as you read Scripture as you read this Scripture Genesis chapter 24 versus 56 to 60 let us take a look at these verses. It kind had talks about Rebekah he had a choice he did not have to go with the servant of Abraham good is said no. In verse 60 this is how is read. They blessed her with this blessing as she parted our sister may you become the mother of many million may your descendents overcome all their enemies. As I read this and I think you see it to many descendents the way I understand it, I believe this is talking about the nation of Israel that’s the way I read it. So as we can see even in Genesis Lord’s talking about the nation of Israel and that the Messiah our Lord and saviour Yeshua will come to the line at Jacob as you read further on in the Bible in Genesis take care God bless Here’s another side note God is a gentleman and he will never force anyone to say, I do to His son as you can see salvation is always at the door as read in Revelation 3:20 the handle on the door is on our side He will not open the door Yeshua we have to open the door and let Him in. We must believe with our heart and confess with our lips that Yeshua is Lord and saviour at that moment our sins are covered with the blood of the Lamb. So you haven’t done it yet ask Yeshua talk to Him and tell Him to give us for my sins. Rev. James.
